Terms of service

These general terms of delivery include the terms for deliveries and agreements pertaining to the Au3 online shop.

The Au3 Online shop is intended for private individuals and companies. The prices of the products include value-added tax. The tax is itemized in the product card, shopping cart and order confirmation. The customer register maintained by the Au3 Online shop is confidential. The information will not be released to third parties.

When making an order, the customer must indicate their name, address, email address and phone number. The order is binding once the customer has received a written order confirmation.

Service provider and online shop administrator

The Au3 Online shop is administrated by www.au3goldsmiths.com (Service Provider), and the invoicing entity is Au3 Design Oy / Au3 Goldsmiths, Business Identity Code / VAT FI18199185. User

The user of the service is known as the Customer regardless of whether they register for the service. The service may be used without registration, but for administrative reasons, the Customer must disclose some personal information when making an order. These terms of delivery pertain to all Customers, whether private individuals or companies. The processing of customer information is discussed in more detail in the privacy statement.

Payments and prices

The prices of the products available through the online shop are indicated for each product in the customer's currency. The customer can also select another currency from the drop-down menu. Prices of different versions of the products may vary, depending on the version. Au3 Goldsmiths is not responsible for any possible price changes and reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.

Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. If a gift card has been received as a promotional benefit, its use does not qualify for further (promotional) benefits.

Payment for the products is required to complete the order. The online shop accepts the following payment methods: Visa, Visa Debit, Master Card, American Express and PayPal as well as the banking services of Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Osuuspankki, POP Pankki, S-Pankki, Säästöpankki, Ålandsbanken and more.

Finnish bank payments and mobile payments

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For complaints, please contact the website the payment was made to.

Delivery, right of ownership and liability

When an order is made through the online shop, the delivery will be made via mail, as an (insured) package, or the Customer may retrieve the piece from the Helsinki location of Au3 Goldsmiths.

Most jewelry pieces are made to order, with samples on display at the Helsinki jewelry shop of Au3. The delivery time for each piece is indicated in the product card of the online shop.

In general, pieces from existing jewelry lines can be manufactured in 4–6 weeks, and customized or unique pieces require a longer delivery period. For such made-to-order products, the schedule will be agreed together with the Customer for each order. Once the piece is ready, the Customer will be notified via text message, phone call or email.

If the completed pieces are to be delivered to the Customer via delivery service or mail, they will be sent within approximately 2–7 days of the completion of the piece, depending on the delivery method and delivery service provider. Au3 Goldsmiths is not responsible for the schedules of the delivery service provider, or for delays caused by customs proceedings, etc.

Jewelry products which are already in stock may be delivered very quickly. Such pieces are marked as being available for rapid delivery. The pieces may be picked up from the Au3 store immediately, or we can send them to the Customer immediately via delivery service or mail. If the Customer selects a delivery service as their delivery method, the piece will be delivered within approximately 2–7 days, depending on the delivery method and service provider. Au3 Goldsmiths is not responsible for the schedules of the delivery service provider, or for delays caused by customs proceedings, etc.

We deliver jewelry around Finland as well as abroad. The countries to which we deliver are determined by rules regulating the sales and delivery of jewelry as well as the delivery destinations of the delivery service provider DHL.

Ownership

The ownership for a piece of jewelry is transferred to the Customer as soon as payment for the product has been registered and the Customer has received the product. The risk passes to the Customer once they have taken possession of the product, e.g., retrieved it from the Au3 store, signed it as delivered from Posti or Matkahuolto, a parcel pickup automat, or with a courier during home delivery.

If the product has been damaged during delivery, the Customer must immediately inform the Au3 Goldsmiths customer service, no later than five days within receiving the package.

Exchanges and returns

The service provider offers a 30-day return period. The return period only pertains to products which are in the original condition, unused and saleable. Please contact Au3 Goldsmiths first by email (shop@au3.fi).

Please note that personalized pieces, including pieces with engravings cannot be returned. In addition, pieces with sizing outside the normal range cannot be returned. For women’s rings this means rings less than 15mm and more than 20mm in diameter. For men’s rings, less than 17mm and more than 22mm in diameter.

Altering the ring size: If the ring is the wrong size, please contact Au3 Goldsmiths by email or phone. We can adjust the ring to make it smaller or larger. We offer free size adjustments if the change is half a size in either direction. We offer free return for size alterations. One adjustment to the ring size is provided free of charge if the ring is sent in for resizing within 30 days of the Customer receiving the product.

If the delivery is incorrect, the product is faulty, or if the piece has gone missing during delivery, the Customer must notify Au3 immediately via email at shop@au3.fi or calling the Au3 Goldsmiths customer service +358 9 436 50090.

Guarantee and liability for defects - Guarantee for jewelry

Au3 Goldsmiths provides a certificate of authenticity for all jewelry designed and manufactured in the company, and offers a lifetime guarantee for material and manufacturing defects. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear.

To ensure the long life of the piece of jewelry and to maintain the validity of the guarantee, the recommendation is for the Customer to bring the piece to an Au3 Goldsmiths location, or a certified Au3 Goldsmiths retailer, for inspection after the first year of use. We also recommend that the jewelry undergo yearly maintenance by a professional goldsmith.

Liability for defects

The Service Provider is not liable for any direct or indirect damages or harm caused by things such as the product not corresponding to the needs or goals of the Customer, or if the product has been used in a way that has resulted in damage. The Service Provider’s liability for the order is always limited to the cancellation of the agreement and the refund of any preliminary payments. The Service Provider retains the right to change these terms without notice. By using the service, the user accepts the terms which are valid at the time.

In the event of a dispute, we apply Finnish law.
